My Sweet Evan

My Sweet Evan
On my way from Heaven

God delayed my trip that day

He said that I was special

and then sent me on my way

but not before he kissed my ears

He left his Blessed mark

to carry with me here.

He whispered in my ear right then

that he loved me without a doubt

and then he closed my ears up tight

so the whisper won't get out

Countdown

We leave in 12 days.... 12 days... Oh did I say that we leave in 12 days? I am very nervous but know that Evan will be well taken care of. God has really worked wonders with us and I know he will not fail us now. For all of you reading this blog - THANK YOU! Please continue to keep us in your prayers. Pray for me having a 3 year old on an airplane with a 3 hour layover in TX - lol. But please don't pray for me to have patience because the LORD will show me just how much patience I have - been there, done that! I will continue to keep everyone updated on this blog and Facebook. You can look us up on Facebook at Earsforevan Holley. Thank you for loving Evan :)

  1. I want you to know that you have one more family praying for your family. You are a remarkable mother, and I know that God will see you all through this.

  2. I just found out about you through Crayon Princess. I know I'm too late, but there is a wonderful surgeon in Atlanta who specializes in ear reconstruction. Atlanta Plastics- google it. His name is Dr. Jones. My daughter had otoplasty 2 years ago. Feel free to email me with questions-barbourfamily@bellsouth.net
    Good luck!

  3. I just came across your blog, and wanted to let you know that I am praying and will continue to pray for you, your family and sweet little Evan. I have also posted a prayer request on my own blog page (I hope you don't mind me sharing!) to share your story and to ask people for their prayers for you during this month and beyond. I pray you feel God's presence as you and Evan prepare for his first surgery. I will also pray for God to be with all the doctors and nurses that will be working with Evan, to give them clarity of mind and steady hands. God bless you on your journey.
